The intelligent sorting bin
We carried out a 3-year research and development project co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development (EU funding), aimed at developing an intelligent outdoor bin that sorts waste itself.
Development of machine vision algorithms
As a part of the consortium, we were responsible for developing an algorithmic layer enabling the assessment of the type of item in the basket and its correct sorting. The results of the research work were implemented into a physical prototype of the solution.
A practical approach to the challenges of smart cities
The developed solution differs from intelligent bins available on the market thanks to the wide optimization of parameters and a comprehensive functional layer, such as filling measurement, optimization of export routes, and crushing. Over 3 years of technological work allowed us not only to create an innovative outdoor solution, but also to understand today’s challenges in the smart city segment.
OneBid Partners Sp. z o.o., in consortium with Kuncar S.A., received funding from the European Regional Development Fund as part of competition no. 1/1.1.1/2020 „Fast Track” of the Operational Programme Smart Growth 2014-2020 for the project titled: „Development of an innovative waste bin supporting waste management, city management, office space, and promoting environmental education.” (POIR.01.01.01-00-0806/21).

Funding granted: 2,370,533.00 PLN
Project duration: November 2021 – December 2023.
